2017 Ernie Hazeltine Soccerfest:
Date: Saturday, December 2nd for U8-U14
Teams will be placed in groups of 4-6 teams from leagues across District 6, and meet at the home field of one of the teams in the group to play 3-4 partial games (equivalent of 2 full games).   Teams are grouped based on their records during the season.
Soccerfest is meant to be a fun, no-stress way of wrapping up your season.  Guest players are discouraged, but exceptions can be made in a case of need.
No scores are kept, all players will receive medals for participating.   The cost of registration is $30 per team, non-refundable after the deadline.   We ask that the coaches serve as referees for games when their team is on a break, that way you don't have to pay more for referees.   Remember this is just for fun!

Details: The District Cup tournament provides a more competitive level of play than SoccerFest, but as with SoccerFest, it is also seeded into multiple levels.  The Cup Challenge group is for the most skilled teams; additional groups are formed as the number of entries permit.  Each seeding group consists of six to ten teams split into two flights of three, four or five teams each.  Teams play two, three, or four games in round-robin format on the first weekend.  Flight winners meet in a final match for their group the following Saturday.   Players on all participating teams will receive Tournament pins, and there are first and second place awards for all players on teams that play in a Final.  The team winning the final match in each of the Cup Challenge groups will also be awarded the perpetual District VI Cup trophy for their age-group.
