Coach Welcome Letter

Welcome to another season with West Sacramento Soccer Club.  Coach registration for the 2024-2025 seasons is now OPEN.  Please take a few minutes to complete your registration.  We would like to obtain a coach count prior to the end of player registration, so if you are able to register early that would be great.  Also spread a friendly reminder to your fellow coaches and friends that coach registration is open.

We are always in need of volunteers and coaches so we hope to see all of you returning coaches register and welcome all new comers.  There is no experience necessary for recreation soccer, just a little patience and be willing to learn a little and teach a little to the youth of our community.  We also have our Comp and Recreation head coaches as well as many veteran coaches among our board and our volunteers that are willing to help along the way.

All volunteer coaches, assistant coaches, team parents, and any persons that will directly be participating with players must complete:

a) registration at 

b) online concussion and safe sport training. Please remember to upload your certificate to your online registration profile.

c) Live Scan for West Sacramento Soccer Club.

You may find the necessary form to complete the Live Scan under the background checks tab in your volunteer registration profile.  Please take the printed form to Capitol Live Scan listed on form.  This will ensure delivery to West Sacramento Soccer Club.  Live Scans completed for other organizations cannot be shared with WSSC. Please note that the sooner Live Scan completed the sooner we will receive the results.

Once a live scan has been completed and cleared for West Sacramento Soccer Club the live scan is valid as long as you are volunteering.  If there is a break in volunteer status of two or more years you may need to complete a new live scan.
